large format scanning
Digiscans scans in colour and B&W up to A0 size with a maximum length of 5 meters. Send us your originals and we will scan and send them back to you digitally on a CD or via email. Originals are returned by Special Delivery or by courier.

Scanning width 980mm - Larger Documents can be scanned in parts and
pasted together in Photoshop.
Please note: Large Format Colour scans produce large file sizes and you will need sufficient RAM on your computer to view them.
formats
Drawings saved in TIFF, PDF or JPEG format.
TIFF Tag Image File Format (.TIF files) TIFF is the most widely supported and universal format across platforms, therefore can be viewed on any computer. TIFF writes a larger file but uses lossless compression, meaning there are no losses when saving, maintaining sharp edges and continuous tone gradients.
PDF Portable Document Format (.pdf files) PDF files are also universal and preserve all fonts and graphics. These files can be viewed using Adobe Acrobat Reader which can be downloaded for free, by clicking on the icon below.
Other file types may be used on request.
cleaning & digital enhancement
If needed, your drawings can be digitally cleaned. If they are old, dirty, torn etc they can be brought back to life. Digiscans can also enhance a image by adding or erasing text, removing or introducing new lines, or highlighting areas etc.
vectorising
After
your drawings have been scanned or if you have raster files that need
converting, Digiscans can vectorize them for you allowing you to view
and edit in a CAD application.
